excellent

amazing add some more fonts please thanks one of the best app

Good but not the best, to be honest.

I purchased this app mainly to compress heavy-sized .pdf files from my work but I usually use other app to compress .pdf files. PDFelement works well but for quite a clear reason-extreme compression while not losing the resolution-I would have purchased the standalone version of Smallpdf for even more dollars, and it’s even free for online users. I wish to see an imrovement on compression while keeping resolution with PDFelement.

Amazing pdf editor/converter

This is an amazingly designed pdf editor app. It has many built-in tools for annotation too. In the editor mode it is possible to add texts and image contents in the pdf file. You can select any lines of the pdf file and edit the contents too. I have tested the Microsoft Word conversion and it works moderately well. I have found some issues while converting equations but aside from that this is one of the best pdf to word converter that I have ever found in the appstore. Hugely recommended.

Not Very Good With PDF Forms

I bought this app primarily to use it for PDF Forms. It is not very good for this use and often does not save the form fields properly. This makes the process very long and time-consuming because we are forced to start the whole thing over again. Very frustrating for forms.

Ugly Russian localisation

Отвратительная русская локализация. Похоже, что делали через Google Translate. Ugly Russian localisation. Seems to be done using Google Translate.

Lacks essential functions

The app seems alright but lacks essential functions like copy and paste. Its ridiculous you can edit blocks but cant move one text-block to another page neither by dragging, nor by simple copy-paste.

Version Update Resulted in 5 Stars Reduced to 3

UPDATE: Downgraded from 3 stars to 2 stars — since my original review, no updates have been rolled out. Ok, fine. I decided to reach out to the Wondershare team directly (note that there is a fancy link that says “if you need support, please visit PDFelement - Edit and Convert PDF with OCR Support.” Well, there is no way to send an email, chat, or call them. It is simply a list of FAQs… and that’s it. I’m still giving 2 stars since it is a great PDF app. However, there are a lot of them out there, and a lot of them that will provide hands-on customer support. I use Foxit for my Windows machines; unfortunately, they do not make software for Mac. Anyway, far better customer service and prompt responsiveness to even minor issues. ************************************************************************************************************************************************** ORIGINAL POST: APRIL 22, 2016 This is a great all-purpose PDF app. However, with the most recent version update, the page number does not update as I scroll through documents, and scrolling has become extremely non-fluid and jumpy. The previous version was more stable, and a far better experience. Please restore this app to its former glory! I would love to give it five stars again...

15-20 fields is the limit.

I had a very large form-creation project, which was specifically the reason I got this app. But between irregularities in naming fields, finicky placement of those fields, the occasional crash, and the pig-ugly method they use to set tab order, I can’t recommend this program for any form that has more than 15 to 20 controls on it. Anything more, and this program quickly turns into Satan’s booger vault.

wonderful OCR

I have been using this for about 2 weeks now. The more I use it the better I like it. Intuitive user interface. Reasonable performance, even on my slow mac-mini.

Changes font

Now worthh it. The font and set up in the document changes when you try to edit. What a mess.

GOOD product. Recommend!

I should say this is the best pdf tool Ive used. Ive tried many other free or cheaper ones, but just not come out what I want. The interface is simple and clear, I could use it without spending too much time on the guide. The conversion is perfect, my scanned files are converted beautifully! I could do a lot editing on it and its great. The more I use, the more functions with surpise come out! It worth every dollar! I do recommend!

So far, so good

No reason not to give this five stars at this point. Dragged and dropped 12 .jpgs and it created a .pdf. Selected 3 .pdfs to combine and easily dragged them into the proper order. Still using Preview for most functions, but Preview is sometimes persnickety when it comes to combining .pdfs in the Thumbnail window. I suspect that this app will take over more than 50% of my .pdf chores and pass PDF Genius, as well, for my tougher tasks.

Very good!

I had problems removing some text and graphs from some old pdf files with Adobe Acrobat Pro. With this app, I was able to remove them and even change font type within the pdf file itself without problems. Outstanding value!

Best of It’s Kind for the Price

This works way better than a lot of more expensive programs I have used. Does a very nice job and the learning curve is surprisingly easy. Highly Recommend!

Fairly good

It is quite efficient and convenient, but I think the UI should be improved, because it does not look professional, but cheap.

feature rich, but...

this is a really good app, but I can’t type any Persian/Arabic in it, not even as a markup. that makes it next to useless :-(

Brilliant All In One for PDF

Exellent software all in one for PDF fast reliable just needed better interface otherwise super. Highly recommended

Great app for those who can’t afford Adobe

As a small business operator, homeowner, student, I am trying to go “paperless” in order to bring order out of chaos. As an Apple user I have to convert most documents to pdf to share with my Windows compatriots. This app does that! Not only converting, but doing OCR conversion so I can edit pdf docs from others, and from my scanner. The only reason I give 4 stars, not 5, is that I’m old fashioned, I read how-to and user manuals for instructions, and this app doesn’t come with those. True, online help in digital format is there, but I prefer learning the old fashion way. So, I find I’m frustrated at times, spending more time looking up how-to and experimenting than I’d like.

Needs a tad more polish.

The tools for manipulating PDF files are good and fast, though i would like to see better reading tools. Arrow keys dont work for navigating pages. Setting PDFelement as the default pdf application gives all pdf files a blank icon. Its a shame because when it chooses to open your files, its pretty fast. Following from the last point, I have to attempt to open pdfs multiple times, once to open the App - and then once more to open the file. This is very annoying,

Flakey

The program if it worked correctly would be nice. It is very flakey, however. Often times, forms that are saved will not save all the fields. More often still, text that is saved in a form box while creating the PDF, will not manifest correctly when opened by industry standard Adobe reader (or any other PDF reader I tried). Text re-appears when the box is clicked in (sometimes). Sometimes some of the form fillable boxes get saved looking correctly, but manifest as a black box you cannot type in or read from in PDF viewers. I need a more consistent product; I hope the bugs get worked out in an update soon. I am still having these problems after recreating a PDF form for the third time.
